Something not working, or a question the app does not answer? Write to support@tavlo.eu and a person will read it. We aim to reply within two working days.

It helps us if you say which app you are using (Tavlo or Tavlo Partner), your device and OS version, the name of the venue, and — if you can — attach a screenshot.

Which app is which

Tavlo is the diner app. You scan the QR code on your table, read the menu, and — at venues that have it switched on — order and pay from your seat. It is free, and you do not need an account to use it.

Tavlo Partner is the app for a venue's team: building the menu, taking orders, the kitchen screen, floor plans and staff. It needs a Tavlo venue and a staff account.

Both run on iPhone and iPad, and on Android phones and tablets.

For diners

The QR code will not scan

Point your phone's normal camera at the code and wait a second — you do not need to open the Tavlo app first. If nothing happens: clean the lens, add more light, move about 15–20 cm away, and check that the sticker is not scratched or covered. If the code opens a page saying the link is not valid, the venue's code has been replaced — ask the staff for the current one.

The menu is wrong, or a price does not match

Menus are published by each venue, and they own that content. Tell the staff first, since they can correct it in minutes. If a venue is showing something seriously wrong and will not fix it, write to us with the venue's name and we will look into it.

Allergens and ingredients

Where a venue has entered its ingredients, you can filter the menu by any of the 14 allergens labelled under EU rules and see only the dishes that match. The information comes from the venue's own recipes.

Always tell the staff about a serious allergy. A kitchen shares equipment and surfaces, so no menu filter — ours included — can promise a dish is free of traces. Treat the filter as a way to narrow the menu down, not as a medical guarantee.

My order has not arrived

Check the order in the app first: it shows whether the kitchen has received it. If it has been accepted and is taking too long, ask the staff — from that point it is the venue's kitchen, not the app. If the order never left "sending", you probably lost signal; the app retries when the connection comes back.

Paying and splitting the bill

At venues with ordering switched on you can pay for the whole table, only the items you chose, or an equal share. Receipts and refunds are handled by the venue: they issue the fiscal receipt, so a refund request goes to them.

Do I need an account?

No. You can scan, browse, order and pay as a guest. An account — email, Apple or Google — exists only so your history and preferences survive to your next phone.

For venues

Getting started

Create a venue free at tavlo.eu/partners. The guided setup takes about fifteen minutes: venue details, opening hours, tables, and your first menu. Digital menus and QR codes stay free.

Setting up the room and printing codes

Add zones and tables, then generate a QR code per table. On LiDAR-equipped iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models, Tavlo Partner can scan the room and draw the floor plan for you. Everything can also be done from the web dashboard.

Staff and permissions

Each person gets their own account and only the rights their job needs. If someone cannot see a screen you expected them to have, check their role first — the app hides what a role may not open, rather than showing an error.

Billing and plans

Digital menu, QR codes and basic analytics are free, with no time limit. Paid plans add ordering, payments and loyalty. Questions about an invoice or a plan go to support@tavlo.eu.

Your account and your data

  • Delete your account — from Profile inside either app, or use the account deletion page to request it from the web without installing anything.
  • Your data rights — access, correction, export and objection are described in the Privacy Policy. Requests go to support@tavlo.eu.
  • Report a security issue — email us with "security" in the subject, and please give us time to fix it before publishing anything.

Reporting a bug

Tell us what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. Add the app name, the device, and the app version — in the diner app it is at the bottom of Settings, in Tavlo Partner under Account. That is usually enough for us to reproduce it.
